Again, DIY Experiences Month to Month Deflation
Thursday (01/08), at the Truntum Room, a press release of Official Statistical News was held which was delivered by the Head of BPS Yogyakarta Province, Herum Fajarwati.
The deflation rate of Yogyakarta Province month to month (mtm) in July 2024 amounted to 0.03 percent. Meanwhile, year on year (yoy) there was inflation of 2.16 percent. The main commodities that contributed to mtm deflation were shallots, red chilies, and tomatoes. Meanwhile, the main commodities driving yoy inflation are rice, gold jewelry, and cayenne pepper.
In July 2024, the DIY Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) amounted to 103.86, up 0.86 percent compared to the previous month. The increase in the NTP index was influenced by the increase in the food crop and fisheries subsectors.
