FGD with the theme “The Role of Government in Stabilizing Producer Prices and Utilization of IHP

Thursday (19/9), at the Grand Rohan Hotel in Yogyakarta, BPS Yogyakarta Province held an FGD with the theme “The Role of the Government in Stabilizing Producer Prices and the Utilization of Producer Price Index Data.” This event aimed to socialize the function and usefulness of the Producer Price Index (IHP) in policy making as well as a forum for discussion between producers and related stakeholders.

On the occasion, the Head of BPS DIY Province, Herum Fajarwati, emphasized the importance of IHP as an early indicator of inflation at the consumer level where an increase in IHP is often followed by an increase in inflation at the consumer level. Herum also expressed her gratitude to all parties, both from OPD and producers for their availability to become BPS respondents so far.
