DIY received the Anindhita Wistara Data award from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The award was given to the DIY Regional Government because it was considered to have the best statistical development index value in the 2024 Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) assessment.
Representing the Governor of DIY, the Head of Bappeda DIY, Ni Made Dwipanti Indrayanti received the award on Thursday (26/09) at the Grand Mercure Kemayoran Hotel, Jakarta. The DIY Regional Government won the third best title in the provincial government category. For this achievement, it is hoped that DIY will remain strong in regional development planning supported by superior and quality data.
Coinciding with the commemoration of the National Statistics Day (HSN) in 2024, BPS gave this award as a form of appreciation to various parties for their commitment and achievements, in the context of efforts to provide quality statistics. The awards given include Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS), Statistical Corner, Exemplary Statistical Personnel, and BPS Awards.
This year, the commemoration of National Statistics Day 2024 raised the theme “Quality Statistics for Golden Indonesia”. This theme emphasizes the importance of statistical data to build the vision of a golden Indonesia 2045. Reliable and accurate statistics will be the foundation in realizing Indonesia's progress and prosperity in the future.
Plt. Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, Head of BPS RI, said that National Statistics Day is a moment to strengthen national statistical collaboration. Collaboration of all sectors in the national statistical system is important to strengthen key aspects that support the success of statistical implementation, starting from statistical capacity building, optimizing data sources, utilization to increasing statistical literacy.
