July 2025: Tourist Visits to DIY Crawl Upward

📈In July 2025, the number of foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia through YIA Airport rose by 8.61 percent compared to the previous month to 11,322 visits. Similarly, domestic tourist arrivals rose by 3.99 percent to 3,519,368 trips. Meanwhile, the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star-rated hotels in DIY was recorded at 58.48 percent and non-star hotels at 25.93 percent.

🍅In August 2025, the province of DIY experienced month-to-month (mtm) deflation of 0.24 percent and year-on-year (yoy) inflation of 2.30 percent. Based on expenditure groups, the food, beverages, and tobacco group contributed the most to mtm deflation. In terms of commodities, the dominant contributors to mtm deflation included declines in the prices of tomatoes, chili peppers, gasoline, and chicken eggs.
