- In January 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province was 0.95 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.24. Gunungkidul Regency experienced y-on-y inflation of 0.64 percent, with a CPI of 105.47, and the City of Yogyakarta experienced y-on-y inflation of 1.30 percent, with a CPI of 107.17.
- Inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco group by 3.21 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.80 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 1.91 percent; health group by 1.92 percent; transportation group by 0.65 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 2.34 percent; education group by 1.31 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.31 percent; and personal care and other services group by 8.92 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decreased index were the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 6.12 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.30 percent.
- The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in January 2025 was 0.35 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate in January 2025 was 0.35 percent.
