A. EXPORTS

• The value of D.I. Yogyakarta’s exports in December 2024 reached US$59.35 million, increased 14.24 percent compared to exports in November 2024 and increased 26.30 percent compared to December 2023.
• The main country destinations of exports in December 2024 were United States at US$23.92 million, Germany at US$8.38 million, and Japan at US$4.70 million. The contribution of the three reached 62.34 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union and ASEAN amounted to US$16.40 million and US$1.86 million, respectively.
• The highest increase of exports in December 2024 was articles of apparel and clothing accessories, not knitted or crocheted, in amount of US$10.84 million from November 2024. The greatest decrease was apparel and clothing accessories, knitted or crocheted, in amount of US$0.85 million.
• By industry classification, exports of manufacturing products during December 2024 increased 17.60 percent. Meanwhile exports of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries during December 2024 decreased 59.74 percent compared to November 2024. Compared to the same period in 2023, exports of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries increased 272.00 percent and exports of manufacturing products increased by 24.99 percent.
• According to the province of loaded, the largest exports of D.I. Yogyakarta December 2024 loaded from Jawa Tengah with among 68.74 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta at 29.33 percent, Jawa Timur at 1.20 percent, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta at 0.66 percent, and other provinces at 0.06 percent.

B. IMPORTS

• Imports of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in December 2024 were worth US$15.84 million, decreased 21.47 percent compared with November 2024, and increased by 27.13 percent compared with December 2023.
• The largest trading partner countries of imports in December 2024 were China US$7.57 million, Hong Kong US$3.46 million, and Taiwan US$1.04 million. The biggest decreased of imports was from United States in amount of US$4.52 million and the highest decreased was from China US$1.08 million.
• The most significant decrease in import was railway and tramway locomotive, mechanical traffic, and all kinds with US$4.96 million. The highest commodity imports in December 2024 were knitted or crocheted fabrics worth US$4.06 million; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated textile fabrics were US$1.42 million; and electrical machinery and equipments; sound recorders/reproducers, visu were US$1.33 million.
• Compared with the same period last year, imports of consumption goods in December 2024 increased by 91.21 percent and intermediate goods increased by 16.21 percent. Along with that, capital goods increased by 228.13 percent.
• D.I. Yogyakarta’s balance of trade in December 2024 experienced a surplus of US$43.51 million, higher than same period in 2023 was experienced a surplus of US$34.53 million.
