Abstract

A. EXPORTS

  • The value of D.I. Yogyakarta’s exports in January 2025 reached US$43.41 million, decreased 26.86 percent compared to exports in December 2024 and increased 8.04 percent compared to January 2024.
  • The main country destinations of exports in January 2025 were United States at US$17.45 million, Germany at US$4.82 million, and Japan at US$3.58 million. The contribution of the three reached 59.55 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union and ASEAN amounted to US$12.50 million and US$1.50 million, respectively.
  • The greatest decrease of exports in January 2025 was articles of apparel and clothing accessories, not knitted or crocheted, in amount of US$11.09 million from December 2024. The highest increase was furniture, bedding, mattress supports, cushions and stuffed furnishing, in amount of US$0.62 million.
  • By industry classification, exports of manufacturing products during January 2025 decreased 26.55 percent compared to December 2024. Meanwhile exports of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries during January 2025 decreased 46.24 percent compared to December 2024. Compared to the same period in 2024, exports of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries increased 16.28 percent and exports of manufacturing products increased by 7.95 percent.
  • According to the province of loaded, the largest exports of D.I. Yogyakarta January 2025 loaded from Jawa Tengah with among 69.96 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta at 29.12 percent, Jawa Timur at 0.51 percent, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta at very small, close to zero, and other provinces at 0.41 percent.

 

B. IMPORTS

  • Imports of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in January 2025 were worth US$18.57 million, increased 17.23 percent compared with December 2024, and increased by 33.79 percent compared with January 2024.
  • The largest trading partner countries of imports in January 2025 were China US$6.75 million, United States US$4.82 million, and Hong Kong US$3.46 million. The biggest increased of imports was from United States in amount of US$3.82 million and the biggest decreased was from China US$0.82 million.
  • The most significant increase in import was railway and tramway locomotive, mechanical traffic, and all kinds with US$4.72 million. The highest commodity imports in January 2025 were railway and tramway locomotive, mechanical traffic, and all kinds worth US$4.76 million; knitted or crocheted fabrics were US$3.73 million; and impregnated, coated, covered or laminated textile fabrics were US$1.50 million.
  • Compared with the same period last year, imports of consumption goods in January 2025 increased by 22.95 percent and intermediate goods increased by 44.54 percent. Along with that, capital goods increased by 57.02 percent.
  • D.I. Yogyakarta’s balance of trade in January 2025 experienced a surplus of US$24.84 million, lower than same period in 2024 was experienced a surplus of US$26.30 million.
