Hotel Occupancy Rate in D.I. Yogyakarta Decreased in February 2025, but the Length of Stay for Star Hotel Guests Increased.

Abstract

  • The room occupancy rate (ROR) of star hotels in February 2025 was 52.34 percent, which increased by 0.30 percentage points compared to February 2024 (y-on-y), but decreased by 4.50 percentage points compared to the previous month (m-to-m). Meanwhile, the room occupancy rate of non-star hotels was 21.46 percent, which decreased by 2.89 percentage points compared to February 2024 (y-on-y) and 4.76 percentage points compared to the previous month (m-to-m).
  • The average length of stay at star hotels in February 2025 was 1.55 nights. This was higher by 0.08 points compared to January 2025 (m-to-m), and 0.10 points to February 2024 (y-on-y). Commonly, foreign guests stayed longer than Indonesian guests. In February 2025, the average length of stay in star hotels for foreign guests was 1.95 nights, while Indonesian guests had 1.54 nights.
