Abstract

  • The NTP of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2025 reached 106.19, up 0.49 percent compared to the previous month, which was 105.67. The Farmer's Exchange Rate for the food crops sub-sector was 101.14; the horticulture sub-sector 135.20; the smallholder plantation sub-sector 134.63; the livestock sub-sector 100.47; and the fisheries sub-sector 93.87.
  • The increase in the combined NTP index this month was influenced by the increase in four sub-sectors, namely: food crops by 1.98 percent; smallholder plantations by 1.23 percent; livestock by 2.17 percent; and fisheries by 2.70 percent. Meanwhile, one sub-sector fell, namely horticulture by 9.85 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2025 was recorded at 109.86, down 0.81 percent compared to the previous month of 110.76.
  • The rural Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2025 generally reached 129.47, experiencing deflation of 1.54 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 131.49.
  • Of the 38 provinces in May 2025, the NTP in 24 provinces increased while 14 provinces decreased. The highest increase in NTP occurred in North Sulawesi at 3.92 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in the Riau Islands at 2.44 percent.
