Abstract

To identify the economy of Yogyakarta during the last five years (2005-2009), statistical information is used, which in this case is represented by several macro indicators derived from Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data. The analysis techniques used to obtain a picture of the DIY economy during the study period are the regional economic structure, sectoral growth patterns, and the relationship between economic growth and unemployment and poverty rates.
