Population of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province Results of the 2015 Census Population Survey

The Intercensal Population Survey (SUPAS) is a population survey conducted between two censuses. SUPAS2015 conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) is the fifth SUPAS activity. Prior to that, the same activities were carried out in 1976, 1985, 1995, and 2005. The objectives of the implementation of SUPAS2015 were to estimate population, population distribution and composition, population characteristics and demographic parameters. Population parameter numbers generated by SUPAS2015 are also used as a correction to the 2010-2035 population projection, the final MDG's planning and evaluation materials. The data and information presented include basic information on population, birth, death, population mobility, and housing, as well as information on current issues such as disability, and climate change. The information submitted covers the entire tabulation of population characteristics at the provincial level. The figures presented in this book are temporary figures and may serve as a reference for other characteristics that will be presented in stages.
