The publication "Occupancy Rate of Hotel Room Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 2018” is annually published by BPS-Statistics of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province. The data presented in this publication is carried out throughout accommodation companies that become respondents only hotel business, both star and non-star. Hotels with star classification are enumerated completely (census), while non-star hotels are enumerated by survey sample. There were 288 respondents consisting of 117 star hotels and 189 non-star hotels. Currently tourism activity becomes a leading in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta are MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition), cultural and nature tourism tours, and tourism facilities such as resorts, hotels, and restaurants. There were 143 listed star hotels, and 1 475 non-stars at Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in 2018. The situation reflected in the number of guests who visited and stayed in 2018 decrease of 4.80 percent over the previous year. In 2018, it was recorded that the tourists, stayed at the hotel were as many as 6 525 894 persons; consisting of the 282 278 of foreigners and 6 243616 domestic tourists. It was indicated 63.67 percent tourist stayed at star hotels. Meanwhile 36.33 percent stayed in non-star hotels. Occupancy Rate of Hotel Room in the star hotels was reached 57.24 percent. Higher 28.99 point compare to the non-star hotels, which reached 28.25 percent.
