Abstract

The publication "Occupancy Rate of Hotel Room Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 2019” is annually published by BPS-Statistics of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province. The data presented in this publication is carried out throughout accommodation companies that become respondents only hotel business, both star and non-star. Hotels with star classification are enumerated completely (census), while non-star hotels are enumerated by survey sample. There were 495 respondents consisting of 163 star hotels and 332 non-star hotels.Currently tourism activity becomes a leading in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta are MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition), cultural and nature tourism tours, and tourism facilities such as resorts, hotels, and restaurants. There were 163 listed star hotels, and 1 817 non-stars at Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in 2019.The situation reflected in the number of guests who visited and stayed in 2019 increase of 37.98 percent over the previous year. In 2019, it was recorded that the tourists, stayed at the hotel were as many as 9.01 millions persons; consisting of the 269.34 thousands of foreigners and 8.74 millions domestic tourists.It was indicated 58.16 percent tourist stayed at star hotels. Meanwhile 41.84 percent stayed in non-star hotels. Occupancy Rate of Hotel Room in the star hotels was reached 58.91 percent. Higher 26.70 point compare to the non-star hotels, which reached 32.21 percent.
