Analysis of Current Issues in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in Quarter II of 2020

Analysis of Current Issues for the Special Region of Yogyakarta in Quarter II-2020 is a publication of BPS-Statistics of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Yogyakarta (DIY) which presents an overview of several phenomena that occurred during the second quarter of 2020 or the previous period that affected socio-economic conditions in the second quarter of 2020. This publication addresses two themes. The first theme is the development of macroeconomic indicators as an overview of macroeconomic development in Yogyakarta. The indicators discussed include trends in economic growth, developments in consumer prices and inflation as a reflection of price stability for basic people's needs, developments in unemployment, and poverty and income inequality. The second theme is the analysis of the dynamics of unemployment and the characteristics of unemployed people in DIY. The focus of discussion on this second theme is the dynamics of the development of the open unemployment rate, the pattern of differences in the development of TPT according to region and sex, and a description of individual characteristics including education, age, marital status, and others of the population that is included in the open unemployment category, the level of half. unemployed, and part-time workers in the DIY area.
