Abstract

The Population Census is one of the main sources of population data in Indonesia which is carried out at least once every ten years. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has conducted Population Census seven times since Indonesia's independence, starting in 1961 until 2020. The purpose of the Population Census is to provide data on the number, composition, distribution, and characteristics of the population.This publication presents information on population data based on the compilation of the results of the 1961-2020 Population Census. The presentation of data in series is done to see the development of the population in the city of Yogyakarta. In addition, population indicators are also presented. The tables presented in this publication are at the district, sub-district, and village levels.
