Agricultural Indicators of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 2023

Agriculture Sector has an important role in economic development in Daerah Istimewa

Yogyakarta. This sector is the second order of the top after manufactur sector, that gave contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Fluctuation of value added of this sector influences to the impact on total GRDP of D.I. Yogyakarta. The significant share was contribution of food farm production that reached 3,91 percent and horticulture production that reached 2,95 percent and farm production that reached 2,06 percent in 2023.

Generally, in 2023 population of small livestock had increased of 2,79 percent compared with that in 2022. The highest increased held on goat by 11,55 percent. Population of large livestock in 2023 decreased by 5,38 percent. The highest decreased held on buffalo by 16,31 percent. In 2023 all of poultry were decreased 16,36 percent. The highest decreased held on broiler by 20,49 percent.

Generally in 2023, production of capture fisheries had increased of 83,83 percent compared with that in 2022. The largest increase of capture fisheries was for muiled, indian mackerel, yellowstripe, mackerel, and hailtail fish.
