DIY Economy Grows 5.02 Percent (y-on-y)

#Sahabatdata, the DIY economy grew by 5.02 percent in the first quarter of 2024 (y-on-y). When compared to the fourth quarter of 2023 (q-to-q), it grew by 0.91 percent.

Several ongoing National Strategic Projects (PSN) in DIY, the holding of elections, and the month of Ramadan which fell in the first quarter of 2024 encouraged DIY's economic growth to remain stable amid the increasing risk of global economic uncertainty.

In terms of business fields, economic strengthening occurred in most categories with the highest source of growth (SoG) in the category of Accommodation & Drinking Food Provision, followed by Construction, reaching 1.14 percent and 0.78 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest source of growth (SoG) was achieved by the Household Consumption Expenditure component (2.45 percent) and PMTB (1.56 percent).
