Out of Deflation, August 2024 DIY Experiences Inflation

After experiencing deflation in June and July 2024, DIY experienced month to month (MtM) inflation in August 2024 of 0.05 percent and year on year (YoY) inflation of 2.33 percent. The commodity that contributed the most to both MtM and YoY inflation was rice.

In July 2024, there were 11,120 foreign tourist visits and 2,432.48 thousand domestic tourists to Yogyakarta. The TPK of star hotels in July 2024 was recorded at 63.25 percent, while the TPK of non-star hotels was 27.57 percent.

The indicator was conveyed by the Head of BPS DIY Province, Herum Fajarwati in a press release event for the Official Statistical News in the Truntum Room, BPS DIY Province (02/09).
