DIY Unemployment Rate Drops Again

DIY Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 amounted to 3.48 percent or decreased by 0.21 percentage points compared to August 2023.

The working population of Yogyakarta in August 2024 was 2.18 million people with the highest labor absorption in the trade sector (19.72 percent). Compared to August 2023, the employment field that experienced the largest percentage increase in employment was the processing industry by 3.37 percentage points. The proportion of full-time workers in DIY continues to increase, reaching 69.08 percent in August 2024.

Some of the DIY employment indicators were conveyed by the Head of BPS DIY Province, Herum Fajarwati in the release of the Official Statistics News (5/11).
