Statistics Meets Students (SMS) SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta

Learning statistics does not always have to be in the classroom. This was proven by the visit of 260 students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta to BPS DIY Province on Thursday (15/05), accompanied by the Principal, Erfin Widyanto.

The arrival of the group was warmly welcomed by the Head of General Section, Iwan Fajar Prasetyawan, representing the Head of BPS DIY Province. The students received introductory material on the basics of statistics, especially population data in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

The activity continued with an interactive question and answer session and a tour of the Integrated Statistical Service (PST) to get to know more closely the data services available at BPS.

Through this visit, it is hoped that students can better understand the important role of statistics in everyday life, and increase their knowledge of the statistical process, from the collection stage to the presentation of data.
