Abstract

  • Exports in September 2022 reached US$44.6 million, down 4.90 percent from the previous month.
  • September 2022 imports were valued at US$16.0 million, up 52.38 percent.
  • The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in September 2022 reached US$44.6 million, down 4.90 percent compared to August 2022. Compared to September 2021, the export value decreased by 2.41 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta from January to September 2022 reached US$446.3 million, an increase of 14.61 percent over the same period in 2021.
  • The largest export in September 2022 was to the United States at US$20.4 million, followed by Germany at US$3.7 million and Australia at US$2.7 million. The contribution of the three reached 60.09 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union amounted to US$10.3 million and to ASEAN US$0.9 million.
  • The largest decline in exports from September 2022 to August 2022 occurred in knitted goods of US$1.5 million (25.42 percent). The second decline was non-knitted garments of US$1.4 million (7.78 percent) and the third was plastic and plastic goods of US$0.2 million (16.67 percent).
  • By sector, exports of agricultural products in September 2022 fell 50.00 percent compared to August 2022. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 4.71 percent. Compared to September 2021, exports of agricultural products fell 50.00 percent. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 2.20 percent.
