The Farmer's Terms of Trade and the Producer Price of Rice in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Desember 2024

Abstract

The Yogyakarta Special Region Farmers Exchange Rate in December 2024 reached 104.41, an increase of 0.89 percent compared to the previous month, namely 103.49. Farmer Exchange Rate for the food crop subsector is 101.66; the horticulture sub-sector 124.46; the smallholder plantation sub-sector 116.82; the livestock sub-sector 101.55; and the fisheries sub-sector 88.65.
The increase in the composite NTP index this month was influenced by the increase in three subsectors, namely: horticulture by 4.10 percent; smallholder plantation crops by 2.79 percent; and livestock by 2.12 percent. Meanwhile, two sub-sectors fell, namely food crops by 0.38 percent and fisheries by 0.05 percent. The Yogyakarta Special Region Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in December 2024 was recorded at 108.70, an increase of 2.06 percent compared to the previous month of 106.51.
The rural Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in December 2024 generally reached 128.69, experiencing inflation of 1.80 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 126.42.
Of the 38 provinces in December 2024, NTP in 29 provinces increased while 9 provinces decreased. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Central Sulawesi at 4.47 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in West Papua at 1.13 percent.
