Abstract

The level of life of workers is one indicator of community welfare in an area. The better quality of life of workers shows the increasing welfare of the community and the results of development are increasingly felt by all levels. In addition, the standard of living of workers can be used as material for evaluating labor management policies and as a basis for determining labor policies in the future. Therefore, the continuity and quality of workers '/ employees' level of living data must remain a major concern.This publication presents various indicators that affect the standard of living of workers / employees which include the situation of workers / employees, main business sectors / fields, worker / employee education, average wages / salaries of workers / employees, provincial / district / city minimum wages, and labor market. The main data source used in this publication is basic data from the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2018-2019 BPS-Statistics of D.I. Yogyakarta. It is also equipped with secondary data obtained from the Department of Manpower and Transmigration D.I. Yogyakarta.
