Abstract

The level of living of workers is an indicator of the welfare of the community in an area. The higher the level of living of workers, it indicates that the welfare of the community is increasing and there is progress in development. The living standards of workers can also be used as material for evaluating labor management policies and determining future employment policies. Therefore, the availability of data on the level of living of workers / employees must be maintained for continuity and quality.This publication presents various indicators that affect the standard of living of workers / employees including the condition of workers / employees, main business sectors / fields, worker / employee education, average wages / salaries of workers / employees, Provincial Minimum Wages (UMP), and the labor market. work. The main data source for this publication is the basic data from the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) August 2019–2020 BPS-Statistics of D.I. Yogyakarta Province. Besides that, it is also equipped with secondary data from the Department of Manpower and Transmigration D.I. Yogyakarta.
