Abstract

The description of labour force dynamics is an important information in making government policies, especially in the field of labor. Various employment indicators and characteristics of the workforce and unemployment are appropriate and urgent barometers to be known by the community and non-governmental organizations. The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) as a producer of basic statistical data is obliged to present employment information regularly and serially through the publication of the state of the labor force.Information on the employment of D.I. Yogyakarta in 2024 can be obtained from the publication of the labor force situation published by BPS D.I. Yogyakarta routinely every year. The data presented in the publication comes from the August 2024 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas). Sakernas August 2024 also produces estimation figures at the provincial and district/city levels. Data presentation in this publication covers the population aged 15 years and over. The types of tables presented are broken down by gender (male and female) and status of residence (urban and rural). This publication presents the development of labor information from 2022-2024, so that data users can find out its development over time. In addition, infographics and executive summaries on the state of the labor force in D.I. Yogyakarta are also presented.
