Labor Force Situation of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta August 2025

Labor market dynamics remain a strategic issue in regional development, particularly in the workforce sector. The availability of accurate data on the labor force and unemployment is not only a navigational tool for the government in policymaking but also an important reference for the public in understanding the characteristics of the workforce in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. BPS-Statistics as the provider of basic statistical data, is obligated to present employment information continuously through publications on the state of the labor force.
Employment information in Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2025 can be obtained from the annual labor force publication published by BPS-Statistics D.I. Yogyakarta Province. The data presented in this publication are sourced from the August 2025 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas). The August 2025 Sakernas produces estimates down to the district/city levels. The data presented in this publication covers the population aged 15 years and older. The types of tables presented are broken down by gender (male and female) and residential status (urban and rural). This publication presents employment information developments from 2023 to 2025, allowing data users to track developments over time. It also includes infographics and an executive summary of the state of the workforce in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
