DIY economy in the third quarter of 2024 grew 5.05 percent (y-on-y)

#Sahabatdata, BPS D.I. Yogyakarta Province released the DIY Economic Growth figures again, Tuesday (05/11).

Despite experiencing deflation, the DIY economy still shows positive growth. BPS Yogyakarta Province noted that DIY's economic performance grew by 5.05 percent (y-on-y) in the third quarter of 2024. In terms of business fields, this growth was driven by increased activity in the construction business field, which contributed 0.91 percent to growth. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, household consumption still contributed the highest growth, reaching 2.48 percent.

When compared to Quarter II-2024 (q-to-q), DIY's economic performance in Quarter III-2024 grew by 0.31 percent.

The structure of the DIY economy in Q3-2024 was dominated by the processing industry business field, with a contribution of 11.72 percent. In terms of expenditure, household consumption expenditure dominated at 61.01 percent.
