Abstract

  • September 2023 exports reached US$37.1 million, down 7.48 percent compared to the previous month.
  • Imports in September 2023 were valued at US$ 11.0 million, up 19.57 percent compared to the previous month.
  • The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in September 2023 reached US$37.1 million or decreased by 7.48 percent compared to August 2023. Compared to September 2022, the export value decreased by 17.00 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta from January to September 2023 reached US$347.3 million or decreased by 22.16 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
  • The largest exports in September 2023 were to the United States, namely US$16.9 million, followed by Australia US$2.7 million and Japan US$2.6 million. The contribution of the three reached 59.84 percent. Meanwhile exports to the European Union amounted to US$ 8.2 million and ASEAN amounted to US$ 0.7 million.
  • The biggest decline in exports in September 2023 compared to August 2023 occurred in knitted goods amounting to US$0.8 million. Meanwhile, the largest increase was in non-knitted apparel, amounting to US$0.4 million.
  • By sector, exports of agricultural products in September 2023 have the same value compared to August 2023. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell by 7.52 percent. Compared to September 2022, exports of agricultural products have the same value. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 17.08 percent.
  • According to the loading port province, the largest exports from the Yogyakarta Special Region in September 2023 were sent via Central Java at 76.01 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta 22.37 percent, D.I. Yogyakarta 1.08 percent, and East Java 0.54 percent
