In 2023, DIY economy to grow 5.07 percent (c-to-c)

Monday (05/02), the Head of BPS DIY Province, Herum Fajarwati, released the figures of DIY Economic Growth in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The event was attended by the Head of the HR & Economic Bureau, and the Head of the Community Empowerment Bureau of the DIY Regional Secretariat, Representative of Bank Indonesia Yogyakarta, Regional Office of DJPb DIY, Bappeda DIY, journalists, and other OPDs within the scope of the DIY Regional Government.

BPS DIY Province noted that DIY's economic performance in the fourth quarter of 2023 grew 2.90 percent compared to the third quarter of 2023 (q-to-q).

Compared to the fourth quarter of 2022 (y-on-y), the DIY economy in the fourth quarter of 2023 grew by 4.86 percent.

Cumulatively (c-to-c), the DIY economy in 2023 grew by 5.07 percent.

The structure of the DIY economy in 2023 is dominated by the manufacturing industry. Meanwhile, the expenditure side is driven by the household consumption expenditure component.
