Abstract

The Analysis of Current Issues for the Special Region of Yogyakarta Quarter 2021 is a publication of the Central Statistics Agency for the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) which presents an overview of several phenomena that occurred during 2021 or the previous period that affect socio-economic conditions during 2021. This publication discusses three main themes. The first theme is the Development of Macroeconomic Indicators as an overview of macroeconomic development during the Covid-19 pandemic. The indicators discussed include trends in economic growth, developments in inflation as a reflection of price stability for basic needs of the community, the dynamics of unemployment, poverty levels, and income inequality.The second theme is the analysis of spatial effects on sub-district population density. The focus of the discussion in this second theme is the intensity of interaction and the position of one region against another. The analysis is to find out the factors that influence population density in a sub-district.
